At Jordan Craig, we are continually striving to integrate new technologies with time-tested traditional ones. The “Jules” denim short is one example of that.
On the fabric level, we used a slubby denim made from ring spun, rope dyed indigo yarn. Ring spinning and rope dying are slower processes (more expensive) in making denim but these factors contribute in making a denim that will produce beautiful fades.
For text design, we used a high-tech laser machine to burn on all the text. In some areas of the text, we had the machine burn more intensely so it would create detailed rips. For the shredded areas, we had the laser machine light a section of the jean on 🔥.
All shredded areas later had denim patches sewn on for a more comfortable wear.
